8 people found guilty, 26 years after the worst industrial disaster

Bhopal, Jun 7 (UNI) In a landmark judgement of international ramifications, a local court today pronounced the Union Carbide India Ltd’s then chairman Keshub Mahindra and seven others guilty in the criminal case relating to the 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy, which was the world’s worst industrial disaster.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohan P Tiwari also ruled against UCIL’s then managing director Vijay Gokhale, Kishore Kamdar, J Mukund, S P Choudhary, K B Shettty, factory supervisor S I Qureshi and the company itself.
